11/12/2023 0 Comments Dxo photolab 4 focus stackingI have always converted raw files to dng on import to LR so maybe this would help with file compatibility. Has anyone tested the raw output files directly put into LR classic from the hi res, multiple exp, live nd, live composite and keystone correction? I'm sure the hdr and focus stacked output is fine as they are only j peg files. Without using the om workspace and conversion to tiff. Luminar neo can't handle the hi res output Can LR classic handle all the file outputs from the various modes of the om1 directly. So I guess my question is slightly different. The temptation of the om1 is to enjoy being outside with a camera and not looking at a computer learning new software.( I'm a very slow learner!) Extra features beyond LR 6.14 along with not learning another editor is worth it especially if it minimises multiple packages of software and the export back and forth. As it seems you don't, then for that price I think that would be the solution. They're so confusing especially after the name changes and led me to believe you had to use cloud storage with the classic version. This made me look again at lightroom plans. Photolab 6 is my primary editing software when I only need to work on an image one at a time.Ī few comments back Meach said you can get Lr classic for £9.99/mo. But I pre-process everything in Photolab 6 first for optical corrections and denoising. For my paid work, I have to use it for its capabilities with layering/masking/healing. I have to admit the Photoshop/Lightroom package is pretty amazing. It's also a little sluggish but does one thing no other software can - deliver true Olympus/OM System Colors. Its only real limitation is you can't do local adjustments. I only have the previous Version 1, that I got on sale for $25 a few years ago. The AI plugins are pretty good, but there are some misses here and there. I recently got Luminar Neo from Skylum for review. However, it does have some search functionality. There is also no real data asset management, which can be a pro or a con. You pretty much have to deal with one photo edit at a time.
